After a VERY busy December (as I know most everyone experienced) we are having a quiet January. We’ve made a few home improvements and are getting ready for a much bigger project tomorrow. The shed has arrived and we are going to be building that in the backyard tomorrow. We are looking forward to a little extra space in the garage once some things find a new home in the shed.

Steve and Molly have plotted out their raised bed garden and planted their seeds.  Every morning and afternoon Molly checks on her seeds and is very excited that several have already sprouted after only 4 days. We are very much looking forward to fresh veggies in a few months.  I think they are planting peppers, tomatoes, zucchini, summer squash, cucumbers, green beans, strawberries, and some cut flowers.   Hopefully we’ll have some project pictures to post soon.

On another note we are looking forward to our February trip to Chicago.  Steve’s cousin, David, is getting married on Valentine’s Day.  It will great to see extended family.  Some we haven’t seen in about 6 years!   The only thing I’m not so sure about is the weather,  I’m praying for a heat wave!!
